True Abundance Takes Perseverance

HOW TO DO 3D ANIMATION :

We Usually Start Out in a Nice Pasture

I started where a lot of people deciding on an abundant lifestyle start, in a comfortable life with a 9 to 5 job. This is the pasture where all the cows congregate eating the sweet grass and getting occasional oats or corn or hay when the farmer sees fit.

There is nothing dangerous in the pasture. There is nothing spectacular in the pasture. The farmer provides health care.

This abundance is distributed every Friday, and those in the pasture have a budget that accounts for this regular and predictable distribution. Many people are happy here because it's safe and predictable. This is abundance for them.

They know how they are going to pay their bills and they know when they are going to pay their bills. This is abundance for them. Many people stay in the pasture because they are afraid to leave. I hope they aren't laid off.

Sometimes There's a Break in the Fence

This happened for me when I first heard Robert Kyosaki on public TV. I was fascinated by his story of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. The idea was that you would never be rich or abundant as long as the government got paid first and your boss got paid second and you got paid last.

The idea that the entrepreneur pays himself first was the break in the fence for me. The fact that corporate taxes are much lower than the individual tax rate widened the break in the fence. Then Robert Kyosaki confessed that most successful business owners/entrepreneurs are only "C" students. This was a whole section of the fence falling down. -- If you could be the average kid in the class then almost anyone could do it.

Run Through the Break in the Fence into the Woods

Some others run through with you. The woods is not bad, although there's less grass and less sun. The first few days are rather pleasant in a new environment. There are singing birds and flowers to eat. But the woods becomes thicker and turns into a jungle. The briars tore at your coat, but the thickets and thorns in the jungle tear your hide.

There are jungle animals. Rhinoceros and big cats follow the scent of your blood and chase you. The easy life is over. This is your testing period. The Universe, the Creator is wondering if this is what you really want. Your hide is thickened with scars and you are more alert than ever before. Your survival depends on your being in the moment and aware of your surroundings. You eat less. You sleep less. You are becoming lean and fit for abundance. Many of those who ran through with you have returned to the pasture by now.

The Swamp Follows the Jungle

This is physically and mentally the hardest of all. You sink in the mud deep enough that every step is exhausting. The briars and bushes are almost impenetrable. Grasses tangle around your feet and it's hot. The water stinks and tastes terrible, but it's all you have. The sky above is gray and you pray that you aren't going in circles.

You've come so far now that you wonder if you could even find your way back. You've lost weight and don't want to run past the lions and tigers again. That was not fun. So you press on. Without a herd and without the sun, you are not sure of the best direction and have to depend on your instinct. You have just become a democracy of one. There is really no other way to do this. You just press on.

The Beach Follows the Swamp

One day, just when you are so tired you're not sure what you will do, your feet don't stick in the mud any longer. The clouds above start to part, showing some blue. You realize you are on firm ground and the water is clearing from its brackish quality to a blue-green. You see colorful fish swimming around your legs as you walk.

You walk out on to a beautiful white sand beach and there is a car parked near by. You go over to ask where you are, and the chauffeur jumps out with a towel and a bathrobe and a pitcher of cold, sweet water. He explains that he's been waiting for you as he helps you out of your yucky clothes into the clean and soft bathrobe.

This is all yours, and he is ready to take you to your mansion as soon as you give the word.
